The Two Year Mark
I have been living here in Guatemala for more than two years now and I still find myself stopping frequently to reflect on "How the heck did I get here?" And "What the heck am I doing here?" I go back to tiny moments in my life that perhaps were preparing me to leave behind everything that I knew to be good and comfortable to embrace this life that has brought more challenges and growth experiences than I had ever experienced before. The blessings have been plentiful and the lessons learned have been life-altering. God sure knows what He's doing and puts people and situations in our lives at just the right time. I have heard that life begins where your zone of comfort ends...and that's precisely where complete and total trust in God is the only way to survive. Prayers are powerful and I could always use more of yours to help stay the course and live the life that God wills for me. Please let me know of any intentions you may have as well so that I can offer up my daily work and struggles for meaningful causes. Life truly is beautiful and every day spent with the people of God's creation is a gift. :)
